Brown Bumble Bee

Less than 10 minutes ago I watched this bee climb out of a flower bed, stagger over 12 feet of lawn then hide in a small crevice in a wall.
I know that under certain temperatures bees tend to slow down and rest until their body temperature increases. I thought that might be the case with this one too, but it has taken refuge in a shaded area in the middle of a really warm day??
