Little Dockray

A backstreet in Penrith with a variety of shop, cafes and bars. Too hot to sit out. Too hot to sit in. My bare feet on the tarmac felt close to blistering and I kept having to move. Some very friendly Yorkshire folk chatted to us and told us all about 'Woody the one eyed dog who was born with one of his eyes skinned over. After an operation to see if there was an actual eyeball it was found to be there but non functioning. There is nothing wrong with his sense of smell though - I dropped a tiny bit of sandwich which probably had a passing smear of tuna fish in it but he didn't rest until he had found the morsel.

I like Yorkshire folk - you know where you are with them.
