Harebells

7PM and still 25 degrees and humid so I headed up to the downs for a breath of air only to find it was just as hot on the high ground together with thousands of flying insects.

However in a shady spot I found a group of beautifully delicate wild Harebells hiding amongst the grass. Theses lovely flowers which are about 3 cm. long have declined somewhat on the Island but can still be found in a few areas of heath and downland.

Back home it was another uncomfortable night of trying to get some sleep. I'm getting to know late night radio quite well.

Just noticed that this is Journal entry No.800. Where does the time go?
