Wash Out

Tonight we attended (or tried to!) an IronPigs baseball game.

The support group that I attend was having our monthly meeting here instead of our normal meeting place.  It should have been a fun night.

But instead it was a total wash out.  Within a half an hour of us arriving the skies opened up to a torrential downpour.  Unfortunately, we weren't undercover very well and proceeded to get quite wet, even with an umbrella.  There was just no escaping it!  This picture tells the story. It was taken during the storm but after the rain had let up a bit.

We only stayed long enough for the dinner buffet that we paid for and since the game was delayed due to the rain only through the first inning.  We could see that the weather wasn't done with us yet so we left early.  Shortly after we got home another storm rolled through our area.

We later found out that the game was suspended during the 4th inning.  Good thing about that is we can go to the box office and get tickets to a future game ..... they just won't include the food buffet.
