Major repairs

This is a job I was doing today,through CCTV recording of sewer drains at Pleasant Point we have found a huge amount of water infiltration into the Sewer System,this in turn during HeavyRain Events overloads the Sewerage Treatment Plant and Ponds causing Sewer to overflow into waterways which if continues will see our Council appearing in the environment Court resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in fines. What I have done here is remove the concrete access chamber ( manhole) as ground water from a high water table was getting in through the shoddy workmanship and replaced it with a closed system, installed a new connection and a Cleaning Eye and an End cap so no water gets into this drain that should not. Once I was able to get access to the pipe I found it had not been installed as per specs or regulations and the bottom of the pipe was broken,maybe this pipe was laid at night in the dark with out a torch. There was so much ground water it looked like it was boiling out of the ground and I would think the volume was over 300 litres per minute and my pump could not keep up.
