Puffed out Peppa
Excuse another Peppa Pink picture, but as you can imagine she's rather the focus of the our lives this week!
We had a huge walk this morning. Perhaps too long in the heat. It was an experience! Peppa has lots to learn as far as walking on the lead, I just have lots to learn!!
We headed down to the local town to get Miss Pink's glasses sorted. Miss Peppa thought that all the shops welcomed doggies so she had a good nosey in the door of each one as we walked past. At the opticians, bearing in mind that Peppa has a few separation issues, she wasn't too keen on being away from mummy and miss Pink. Master Pink did his best to calm her with treats and water and shade, but Peppa wanted "in"! The optician have up trying to talk to me through a window and brought the paperwork outside for me to sign!
The next challenge was meeting the ducks, swans and geese down by the river. Peppa wanted to play with them. Really wanted to play with them!!
We found some shade for icecreams for the humans and water for Peppa, and had a little rest.
On the way back though, Peppa decided she'd had enough of wearing her harness and slipped it along a busy road. I'm all for practising recall, but not in front of a passing car!
The rest of the walk home went ok, but we were all very hot and tired when we got in. My friend texted to ask if we'd like to go to the park, but we decided that in the heat, a play in the garden would be better. And it was, the kids had a great time, and the afternoon ended up extending into the evening with a fish and chip picnic tea!
Oh and Peppa finally met her next door neighbour dog. Master Murphy and Miss Peppa have been chatting through the fence for several days! One of the many children in the garden left the gate open and so followed an impromptu doggy play date! They did well although we're very tired after their excited playing!
