Badbea village

On route from John O'Groats to Golspie after getting the ferry back from Orkney.

Seen the Badbea historic clearance village sign and stopped off for a look. It's the ruin remains of one of the villages cleared out during the highland clearances in by the Countess of Sutherland.

Last inhabited about 1906 there is not much left. Today however the view was lovely and the weather stunning. Wouldn't fancy staying here when it's raining and blowing a gale however.
