Rhythmic Gymnastics

Today was all about the Commonwealth Games. While waiting for the train at Glasgow Central to the Exhibition Centre, there was a delay, but the spirits were high and everybody was having fun. A Jamaican visitor from London asked one of the SPT staff if he could do her job while they waited. As you can see in this shot she gave him her hi viz jacket, tie and radio. It was great fun.

I then walked over to the tented village beside the BBC at the Quay and then bumped into Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh of Deacon Blue.

This afternoon we had tickets for the Rhythmic Gymnastics in the Hydro. The atmosphere was fabulous and the performances were superb.

This was the all round individual final.

Patricia Bezzoubenko from Canada won the gold, Francesca Jones from Wales won the silver and Laura Halford also from Wales won the bronze.
