Carronade!

The carronade is a rather short, smooth bore cannon that was widely used in the 1770s to 1850s, primarily as a short-range ship-to-ship weapon. It was manufactured at the Carron Iron Works (from which it took its name). The Carron Iron Works in turn took its name from the River Carron, on the banks of which the Iron Works stood.

The cannons became obsolete are rifled barrels enabled longer-range weaponry. And in its turn, the iron works closed down in the early 1980s. But a couple of cannons can still be seen on Stenhousemuir High Street, which is close to the Falkirk Tryst Golf Course, where Cameron had a tournament today.

It's a pity that the cars are parked so close to the guns. I wonder if there is anything that could remove those cars... something big. That can go "bang" ???
