A view from the Shard

Just before the rain!!!

Met up with my “Old CAS” group (Specialist nurses) in London today. We had a wander round Borough Market first, and then went to the Shard. Rather than go to the top as the weather didn’t look too promising, we to Aqua Shard on the 31st floor, for coffee. The view was very good (as seen by the blip) and quite spectacular when we had lightening and it started to rain.

That was an understatement, it absolutely poured down!!!! But it cooled the air and made it more comfortable.

Later on we went back to the market and had lunch in a fish restaurant. A great time for chat and catching up on all the news.

I now know that the market is next to London Bridge Underground Station, not Borough tube station!!
