Multiflowers--plus ...

On a walk nearby, I was struck by the sinuous strands around these flowers--and the way they echo (to a degree) the grey gas gauges and meters in the background. There's also a green vine seeking to entwine the gauges!

Hope you enjoy this as I do--and I'd appreciate an ID for the flowers :) More fun in large.

Edit: (Saturday, 26/7): Liatris spicata is suggested, and it seems plausible.
