Cactus Start

I found this piece of cactus from a pile of landscaping rubble near a golf course. It was rotting in the sun but looked like it might still be alive. I threw it in the back of my truck and planted it the next day in a pot with potting soil. Now a few weeks later it is starting to grow. Part of looks dead but it is definitely alive and growing. It will be interesting to see how it does. Looks like we have a new cactus for the yard.
