Seaside Winter
Out and about today firstly a long walk along the Promenade with The Wonder Dog and Bella, where we spied the men from the Council erecting these 'fun' figures in the Crazy Golf area, I presume they were getting a head start on the summer work.
It's hard to imagine a designer producing these bizarre and frightening heads but they do and it all adds to the sad and slightly forlorn feeling of an English seaside town on the winter.
St. Annes on Sea feels like a deserted film set for a British movie of the fifties. Cups of tea in steamy windowed cafes, cherry cake, ladies with big fake fur hats - it's all here.
Depressingly attractive.
...and our friend Heiner arrived this afternoon to join in Saturdays' party folics.
