Our Home for a Summer break
Scorching day in the eighties.
We travelled, with our granddaughter, Sophie and our grandson, Gavin, up from Dundee to Bridge of Cally in the morning. The temperature steadily got warmer until by Lunchtime it was scorching. We found the Static Caravan which our friend had given us the use of for a few days. It was beautifully kitted out in a lovely spot on a Site which is bounded by the river. It was too hot to sit out for more than a short while. I eventually finished The Lewis Man while the others kept cool in various ways.
Later, we had a walk down by the river and we all managed to sit on rocks with our feet in the refreshing, fast flowing water.
The weather is forecast to be hot again tomorrow.
