So lucky to be at Tollcross for the swimming, our first taste of actual Commonwealth Games sporting action. And to see a Scotland Gold medal.

My head knows that me screaming "COME ON!" at Dan Wallace all the way down the last 50 metres didn't really give him an edge... but in my heart somewhere I believe it might have helped a little.

Moments before we had sung 'Flower of Scotland' with tears in our eyes.
