COSMOS

I've been wanting to grow cosmos in this fashion since I saw it done at Nymans years ago, i.e. grow them densely packed on their own, rather than mixed with other flowers. Although there are not as many coming into bloom at one time as I would like, they are doing quite well and not flopping over as the feathery leaves naturally construct a supportive netting. I love this flower, so easy, so beautiful at all stages and so undemanding. Bit like myself, really.

There is a straight gender divide through our household tonight. The men are going to the rugby. I am going out to dinner - much more civilised.
