In linguistics this is a language made up of elements of two or more other languages and used for contacts, esp trading contacts, between the speakers of other languages.

Today though I could have sworn that these pigeons were saying tea, tea when they swooped down and started dancing on the grass. It was like a salsa class, and after a little cooing and swooping they were stamping to the beat of tea, tea.
