Crumpler Muffin Top 5500

The deal on my new Canon DSLR included a £50 cashback which arrived at the end of last week. I decided to spend this on a good camera bag. After lots of research in the Forum area and various websites, I chose this Crumpler bag (expresso/sand). Thank you to david:seventyseven for several helpful comments.

Now, there are spaces to be filled ... soon I hope, and I have a birthday next month - hint hint to those family members who watch my Blips from afar. I am looking for advice and help on Canon fixed 50mm lenses - which one to go for 1.8, 1.4. Or Canon macro lenses - the 50mm 2.5 or 60mm 2.8 - anything else is way beyond my budget. I have also read about the Canon close up lens attachment for the 500D. So many decisions to make. Helpful comments are welcome.
