A day out with Kirsty

Today me and Mummy took the bus into town to see Kirsty. We went for lunch and then walked around town. It was a very hot day. We saw the Commonwealth Games logo statue, and then went to buy some ice cream and we went to sit in the shade next to the river. It was lovely. I got to stand on the grass, which I don't think I've really done before! It felt funny, but I liked it. After that we walked back up to the bus and went home. Daddy was at home, even though he hadn't planned to be, because when he was playing football this afternoon he fell over and hurt his knee, so he was sent home. It was nice to be able to spend the evening with him, as I haven't got to see him as much as normal this week. It was a lovely day!
