Waiting for the bus.....

Dramatic excitement down East Street today, as I wandered back from town. For a moment I thought it was Wilkos burning, but no just a flat.

Clearly the fire engines had not long got there, the ladder engine was in position but having a bit of a problem with its hose as there was water gushing all down the street and not onto the fire, and a second engine was trying to work out how to get round to the back of the building.

The buses were busy reversing up the street as they weren't going down it for a while yet!

It was all remarkably calm, the green grocer next door was just tidying up, there was a bit of hazard tape cordoning off the immediate area but mostly crowds were gathering to stand and stare and get out their camera phones.....(myself included....).
