Small White
There were more white butterflies around today, and they are a bit easier to capture while they are flying. They tend to flutter more slowly when moving from one bloom to another and don't land immediately. The also change flowers more frequently, so you get more opportunities to catch them. In addition, when two of them come together, they tend to fly round each other as they climb, which gives the autofocus time to latch on to them. Using the telephoto lens, they are still pretty small in the frame, and need a fairly big crop to get them to a reasonable size.
We took my daughter to get her birthday present today - we paid a large proportion of the cost of a Macbook Air and she paid the rest. She is made up with it and has said she intends to take a photography course now that she has something on which she can edit her pictures. I look forward to seeing her work as she seems to have a pretty good eye from the shots I have seen so far.
Hope everybody is enjoying this beautiful weather.
