Brafield-on-the-Green

After yet more productive rushing around made it out to the Northampton club an hour earlier than expected. Still late, but high cloud delayed thermals and flying so my timing was actually perfect.

Difficult to stay up initially, then as the sun did its work the sky started working.

It then worked rather too well for my liking and at 5600' not much below cloudbase I went on a fast glide not going down very much. Fatigue from the last few days and a lack of food earlier also persuaded me landing now would be good. Everything was going up still, didn't even have to thermal. A short while after landing clouds typically looked fine again (as per photo). It did go big not long after however.

Still, managed a very small triangle and also tested advancing hang point. It's going back as I was eating the basebar! Great to finally fly at Northampton as well.

Pub and finally food then home to collapse.
