Carnival!

What a change from yesterday! After the grey, wet weather yesterday today was blazing hot and sunny. It was also carnival day, they've been messing around with the format of the carnival the last couple years, this year they had a parade from the top of the mound to the West end of Princes St. After the parade the performers spread out in Princes Street Gardens to perform. To be honest it was so hot by this time we didn't move around much but did see a couple acts. This shot was taken looking up the mound as the Edinburgh Samba school were led down by samba dancers.
