Vive le Tour

I don't follow much sport but The Tour of France does interest me and each July sees me sitting watching reruns of the previous nights race. I have knitted some jumpers so the time is not totally wasted. I enjoy the fact that these guys go out in all sorts of weather and race for three weeks, day after day.

We have the added interest of having a local in the race, he is Mark Cavendish's lead out man also called Mark (Renshaw). Once the former fell in stage 1 our man has been trying for a stage win. Here's hoping for tonight in the race into Paris.

They have lovely pictures of the countryside and this one I couldn't work out at first, it is Vive le Tour written out in boats....they certainly have great imaginations and I love the colours.

I should add it is my Mothers 91st birthday today. She tells me today she is learning the flags of the world, something to keep her mind active. Wow!
