Executive Hangar Tour

Very grateful to my pilot friend who flies for Specsavers, who was kind enough to give my nephew and I a tour of the executive hangar at Guernsey airport.

My boy is a big plane spotter fan and a member of air cadets. His ambition is to become a pilot. So it was great to have Someone like Dan who has the same passion for planes and flying to have a chat and teach him some more technical stuff in the cockpit and around the planes.

We also got to have a close up glance at the two big bucks jets that were sitting on the runway. Around the region of 70 million quid- one of them owned by a local who flies direct to Hong Kong & the States. Apparently when the cabin crew arrive to board this jet, they take their shoes off!

K was ecstatic about the surprise tour & has even more insight now into what it takes to become a pilot:-)
