Weathered . . .

A lot of old buildings in Orkney are built of sandstone, including St Magnus cathedral and our craft shop. This is the doorway to the latter!

Met lots of lovely friendly folk today, a party of Americans off one of the cruise liners but mostly visitors from all parts of the UK, Isle of Wight to mid Wales, Norfolk to Stirling, Northern Ireland to Edinburgh. All of then were very pleasantly surprised by the weather, they'd been expecting chilly breezes and rain but today the mist stayed off shore and sun carried on shining.
