Butterfly on a Metasequoia leaf.

I am sorry, but I do not know the name of this butterfly. If anyone can advise me please do so.

I have seen so many of your shots of butterflies, I thought I would try myself to capture one. This was the best shot out of very many.

If you look carefully, the upper body and the upper side of the wings are a a lovely blue, and I was hoping it would spread its wings whilst on the the leaf but no such luck. Better luck next time!
