Totem poles!

These traditionally carved and colourful Nootka totem poles from Canada guard the entrance to the birthplace museum of the famous explorer and navigator Captain Cook.

The museum is close to the granite urn marking the site of Cook's birthplace cottage in Stewart Park on the outskirts of Middlesbrough
