Orkney Cottage

This is where we are staying, with our good friends B & H. It is an idyllic setting on a brackish loch - and they have a neolithic tomb in their backyard!

Today we visited another tomb, Maes Howe and then drove into Kirkwall to get supplies for tomorrow's dinner (I'm cooking) and looked round the Bishop's Palace, Earl's Palace and St Magnus' Cathedral. The sun's out now and I am looking west from the guest room across the loch to the hills beyond. It is very beautiful and peaceful.
