Yeah
This morning his Lordship kindly bought a Gorillapod for us to share after I had waxed lyrical about the one belonging to Acronymphomania that I fingered so lustfully in Susie's Diner on Monday night. He also bought me a shade for the screen on my digital camera to avoid only seeing my reflection therein when the Egyptian sun is strong. I have to say my cup runneth over with his generosity and this after having purchased all our Egyptian pounds.
I walked home from town via the canal at Fountainbridge and found this blip near the Leamington Lift Bridge. I liked it mainly because the shadow of the opposite tenements on the factory wall made it look so much more interesting. I also like the graffitti - 'yeah'. To me it smacks of yesss!
The roofers made a welcome appearance at lunch time to fix the hole in the join of the guttering on the castle roof. That was the same hole which contributed to the icicles which were so pretty but so threatening to our bank balance earlier in the month. I am glad to report that I think we will stay solvent as they fixed it pretty quickly and only had to replace 2 broken tiles on the roof. Maybe I speak too soon, though. We'll see.......
Tonight I have a meal with some cycling friends to discuss details of a cycling visit to the Semaine Federale this summer. The Semaine is a week of cycling runs of varying lengths and difficulty organised by the French. Each year it is held in a different place and this year it is Verdun. While his Lordship and I aren't yet commited to going, we would like to get more information. I will be taking wine with me to the meal. Discussions are always better with an intake of fermented grape juice, don't you think?
