Both Sides Now

Variety...

...is the spice of life!

Today was a day of two halves. We spent the morning at Rufford Hall. A gorgeous Tudor house with the most beautiful gardens. We enjoyed a civilised Lancashire tea in peace and quiet with nothing but the birds tweeting and the bees buzzing.

Though the weather forecast said it would cloud over in the afternoon, it didn't! So we ventured to Southport!

We walked to the end of the pier, had ice cream and later a chip butty by the marine lake. Instead of birds tweeting we were fighting off sea gulls and the bees were replaced by 'Myles' - myles is an over weight, very short Tom Jones tribute act who was bellowing from the nearby pub garden. Not entirely our taste but it certainly added something to the British seaside experience.

Brilliant day! Loved both halves..... particularly for their Britishness!
