Robbin' Robin!

I spotted this robin on the back yard fence just before 7 a.m. today. S/he was fluffed out against the cool morning breeze, and probably was remembering with pleasure the blueberries recently snatched from the nearby bushes.

But those blueberries weren't enough for this bird's breakfast -- the red huckleberry bush just below the fence still had a good supply of berries at just the ripeness that suits robins, and as I blinked, the bird dived into the bush, which suddenly started to shake.

This bird clearly has berry-robbing down pat!

(I could have called this Rockin' Robin -- remember this 1958 hit?)
