Perfect Summer Sunday
It's been a lovely day here in sunny Methven. Again I was lazy, and had a long lie - much needed since I stayed up far too late experimenting with this new laptop. My goals today were to be the four W's - washing, walking, weeding and windows.
Didn't do too badly: after a slow start I got some laundry done, then strolled out with the Rockster after a heavy shower had passed. Turn left at the end of the street, and we are in the country, and about 500 yards up the road is this field of young cows (I'm sure there will be a name for young cows, but I have no idea what it is). They are so curious, and every morning when the dog and I pass them they trundle down to the gate to see us. I'm not sure what that is all about - don't know if they like the dog, or if they would try to harm him if he was in the field. Whatever, I am very fond of them and will be sorry when they are taken away.
After our walk I had a wee jaunt into town to pick up some bits and pieces, and met an old friend so we had had coffee and a chat.
Back home, made a tasty big pot of Chilli, and The Dyson Man phoned me to come and collect him from his friend's house after their Wickerman trip. Said Wecamefromwolves put on a cracking show, and as usual there was a good mix of folk and a really good atmosphere.
So now, Sunday night and we are just about to get stuck into the chilli and a wee bottle of beer before looking at his photies. And tomorrow is a Monday holiday ..... perfect!
