Kestrel

Had a great day with my mum and my Aunt at a local nature reserve today. There was loads of activities for little kids and even some for not so little kids. Since for ever my mum has loved owls, so today she came face to face with 3 varieties as well as this here Kestrel and two other birds of prey.
i have to say i was a little concerned that neither of the birds on show today were born in the wild, therefor at least 3 of them would struggle to survive if they were ever set free or escaped.However i have no doubt that they are well cared for and loved by their owners. I chose this shot because he was an absolutely beautiful bird.
