Glasgow 2014

What an amazing evening. We spent it at the Commonwealth Games swimming venue, where the competition was tense and the atmosphere was electric. We were in awe of the meticulously choreographed activity. Everything ran like clockwork and the races were interspersed with medal ceremonies that each kicked off with a Scottish piper playing the Games theme music. It was wonderful to watch the emotion of the winning athletes receiving their medals.

The evening had a tremendous crescendo in a dramatic relay race, in which teams of four each swam four lengths., The finish was tremendously close, with a fantastic win by the Australian team. The spectators erupted in a sea of frenetic flag waving in their excitement at the spectacle. A very memorable night, thanks to our hosts Ford, who have supplied 1,100 vehicles to keep the Games mobile.
