Ickworth

Today’s trip was to the National Trust property, Ickworth. There’s a house, Italianate garden, and parkland, so lots to see! I think we saw a bit of everything, and it was a really nice day out. In the walled garden they’ve sown a flower meadow, which was in full flower and beautiful!
The basement has been set out as it would’ve been in the 1930s, and tells some of the stories of the servants who worked there. There’s also a costume exhibition on at the moment, with some of the clothes worn by the family who lived in the house on display.
