Kotor, Montenegro

The ancient Montenegro day trip was excellent. We saw Roman ruins, went to a man made island in the middle of a huge lake then headed to Kotor. It's a medieval walled city with walls that stretch right up the mountains and look a bit like a mini Great Wall of China. The tiny winding streets are filled with Venetian architecture, cats and restaurants.

We had really good pasta at a not so friendly one and little bro discovered strawberry juice. It's quite good, apparently. He wouldn't let us go into the Cats Museum as it was too creepy. Despite the grey weather it was great to see some different scenery and geography although the black mountains were more grey and green.

Montenegro has lots of sayings about making sure you don't do too much, my favourite was "Rest during the day so at night you can sleep". Fitting now as we're sat in the hostel listening to music, resting and waiting for the rain to stop.
