Day 9

Birthday celebrations.

Today i am celebrating my 21st birthday again. So after a continental breakfast put together by daughter we were off to Tintagel castle to have a look around.

I should do a bit more checking before i go to these places, OMG where the steps steep, lol. But the views were worth it and no, i didn't take the land rover ride up and down, ha. If steps on the side of a cliff worry you, then you would like this even though i am scared of heights i just concentrated on my feet as all the steps are of differing heights.

It was lovely to stroll round and take in the views while the sun was shining and the wind was cooling. So after walking all the way down to the lower entrance and walking up to the castle it was time to go back down the steps and up the other side, the top section was amazingly steep but eventually i made it. Thinking that was it we still had to go back down another path which only took us to the path that was only half way up to Tintagel town, have i lost you yet? haha.

At the top it was time for a cream tea, we certainly deserved that one. After a chill it was time to return back to Mevagissey and wait for my brother in law to arrive as he is visiting for a couple of days as its my birthday today and the bosses (his sister) Hawaiian birthday tomorrow (can't get away with forgetting her birthday can I). So off to the pub we went for a few sherbets and some yummy pub grub.
