Lovely ladies in the lakes.. Fell walking.. Litera

After the most amazing drive through hard knot and wry nose passes we had a walk to burn moor tarn and back - lovely weather on the way not so on the walk back! We were soaked and boots full of water.

I stepped on what I thought was firm ground but left foot sank in and I plunged headlong forwards..thought I was ok but I must have badly twisted my knee although only realised an hour later when every step was agony.. Made it back with the aid of the trusty walking pole, lots of tears and deep breathing!,

Back to our inn, refreshing shower and out for dinner at Thai in Ambleside where I enjoyed a couple of Lao beers to numb the pain!
