Windmills and Countryside

Today the girls and I took our lives into our own hands and hired some bikes! Due to the incredible amount of bikers, us being perpetually lost and the Dutch riding/ driving on the opposite side of the road it was all pretty intense! Once we got out of the city and headed into the countryside along the River Amstel it was much more relaxing and was an absolutely beautiful day. We rode about an hour out of the city then sat by the river and had a picnic, including a couple of bottles of wine. We chatted and enjoyed the sun and each others company for a couple of hours before we headed back into the city to return our bikes and go to the airport to catch our flight home.

It was the perfect end to a lovely few days away.
