The story is that when we got married we had to be content to push together two single beds. Over the years, (old age, what) we eventually stopped bothering to push them together, and content to sleep apart whenever we visited Corby. Now, 39 years later, mother has finally got round to buying a double bed for the bedroom. Thanks mother - marital bliss at last!
