River Avon At Batheaston
I had an unexpected trip into Bath when the repair centre called in the afternoon to say that Archie was ready for collection. I drove back in the newly pristine car via Batheaston to see the brand new bridge that forms part of the cycleway to Bradford-on-Avon. The bridge cost £890,000 to build and was installed on 20 December last year. It was officially opened on Tuesday 15 July and now just awaits a few bits of signage.
In the process of walking along the path beside the Avon to get this shot, I discovered some gardens behind me that I hadn't previously realised were open to the public, but found an entrance to Batheaston Gardens in the car park - a new venue to sit and read in.
