Schwarzwald or Black Forest

Today I finally got to be in the beautiful gorgeous Black Forest.

Martin and I have wanted to visit the Black Forest for a while, well at least when we lived in Europe. And today a wish was fulfilled. Most of the family came with us. Had a lovely drive through the country getting there. It was a blazing hot day but we sure made the most of it. Walked through the heritage village and finished off with yummy Black Forest cake right there in the region. I really wanted to have it there ... And get the 'real' taste!

I was so pleased that we finally got to do that and have some really good memories of being there.
