Out of reach!

There is a very old path way a few miles from where we live, Along which are about half a dozen wild plum trees.
We thought we would go there for a walk today, as may be the plums would have ripened early this year.
We were right!
However the lower branches have been cut back, and the ones which were laden with yellow, red and purple plums were mostly out of reach!
Managed to gather about a pound, which I will stew. Maybe make a crumble.

( We could go back, carrying a long ladder.........I think not!)
