The old fashioned way.

This is Machiavelli. Our eldest was taught this game the last time he came to The Netherlands about 3 years ago I think. This time it's the turn of our younger son to learn it, and he is getting on really well for his first time.

Other things today included gardening ( I just supervised because my tummy still hurts from when Oliver accidentally landed on me in our cabin) but Essie and Darren did the planting - once the heavy rain had subsided.
