Burning bridges

Because miniman decided not to go to nursery on his bike this morning I ran the opposite way down the canal from the nursery instead.

I found a canal side marina I didn't know was there. I saw some very beautiful countryside that I've not seen before, met some lovely people on their boats (though none of them offered me any breakfast) and this beautiful old bridge, long since past using but still looking pretty.

I stopped in my tracks to try to capture it in all it's glory but still think I've not done it justice... I did, however, do justice to the bacon & mushroom sandwich I made for myself when I got home!!
