Fulmars
Up to Birsay again. The little bus service I use on the trips around West Mainland is being scrapped so I probably wont manage up there so often when that happens. At The Loons reserve the foliage was very thick and not many birds were visible. I waked to The Choin at Marwick and up the cliff path to Marwick Head. More puffins about than usual for there. Lots of bonxies, fulmars, guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes. The kittiwakes had lots of large chicks which is good. On to the palace at Birsay and, the tide being out, over to the brough. More puffins there too.
More here.
