Lindisfarne Castle

Another visit to Holy Island - a good walk round The Snook - the dunes at the western end - followed by cappucino and hot chocolate from the Post Office consumed in the Lindisfarne Gospel Gardens and then a 99 from the ice cream van in the car park. Although connected to the mainland for half the day, the place has the feel of a proper island and so much history and charm.
