Silver-crowned Friarbird.
We had rain all night and then for the whole day – on and off. The weather forecast had said “A shower of 2”!! I think they should have made it 20 or more, not 2.
There were plenty of birds around. The Banksia tree was a favourite spot for them to come to between showers. There was a Rainbow Lorikeet, a Honey eater and a couple of others, that I didn't manage to get, or even knew what they were. This one I had never seen before, so it is a new one for me.
There was a hotel at the caravan park too, and they had organised a day of fund raising for the inland farmers affected by the drought. People brought along their old & newer, tractors, and people put money in a bucket to vote for the best. This money was put towards buying bales of hay.
We decided to pack up in case it really rained during the night, and also, it would help with getting away in the morning. Then we went to the hotel for dinner.
