Ripening Wheat

The blackberries are ripening fast and are as big as last year's so I took a small tub out with me on my morning walk. Well that was a mistake looking at how many are ready for eating. I filled the box without moving more than a foot. So I'm off out again this afternoon with a few empty ice cream tubs.

Strangely the apple trees in the communal orchard at the back of our garden are just about bare so there'll be no free apple and blackberry crumble this year.
